Britain is Lonely without the Internet

Nowadays almost any period of Time without access to Technology would seem like a terrible and frustrating inconvenience. However what I just said above may be a under-statement, according to researchers at Intraspace.
Britons feel deprived and lonely without Internet connection: Metro
Researchers have surveyed over 1000 Britons aged between 18-65 and found that a majority of 53% said that they felt upset when denied access to the Internet.

As a part of the experiment, the 1000 participators went 24 hours without any form of Technology (gasp!), such as Computers, Smartphone's and Televisions. They were then questioned on how they felt after the test.

40% of participants said they felt lonely when they were deprived of the Internet, However 23% said they felt free when the had no Internet Access.

Some of the Participants described letting go of Technology for 1 day was as hard as quitting smoking or drinking. One said it was like "Having his hand chopped off"

Not all Participants followed the rules, with some switching on the Telly or the Radio because they were not regarded as Technology.
